Sick ,Sick ,Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sick, sick, sick. What a month. We start with seizures and end with double ear infections, bronchial virus. and RSV. So far 2009 has brought us lots of doctors visits. We gave the doctor a first in his career, we brought 3 boys 6 ears and 6 ear infections. He was shocked since they're not contagious. Owen also had fluid in his lungs(Owen did great during his chest x-rays) and tyson might have so they treated them for the bronchial virus.

Here is Owen looking miserable.

This is our daily medication which most has to be taken at least 2 times a day
Here is Gavin getting His Breathing treatments he gets them 3 to 6 times a day. we also have his MRI and EEG this week we will let you know how those go.
This was just a cute shot of Ty Clint got for his class we wanted to throw in a cute picture so that it wasn't all bad.
Lets hope for a better February.

Quick Update

This is just a quick update on Gav. We took him to the neurologist yesterday He is pretty sure it is the same thing that Clint and Owen had (benign infantile familial convulsions) So he decided to put him on medication. I have to say I am a little relived by it since I was so scared of him having a second one I haven't slept much in the past five days I think in the past 48 hours I have gotten 6 hours sleep. Last night was a little better since he started meds but I think it will take me a while to sleep the whole night again. I woke up to every move or Change in his breathing pattern. We have scheduled some more testing (EEG and MRI) for the 23rd just to make sure that if it is something else we don't miss it. Clint and I are exhausted and ready for some sleep. We will keep you posted.

Not Again!!!

Well It has been a long week. Gavin had his 4 month old checkup and he only weighed 11 lb 8 oz so he was like in the 1% for weight,he was also in the 12% for height and 7 % head. Well I have never had a small baby but the doctor wasn't too worried, he did however want to schedule an appointment to re-weight him in two weeks. Well Gavin decided he didn't want to wait that long to see his lovely Doctor. That's right he decided to follow his dad's and Owen's footsteps and have a seizure on us. We have been through this all before but I am finding it is just as terrifying the second time as it was the first time I went through it. On Saturday I woke up to something at 5:07am ( probably Gavin) and I looked into the crib and his left arm was shaking so I turned on my flashlight and saw his eyes rolled back and his whole body was shaking, and he was starting to look a pale purple color. well you can imagine my reaction( if some of you don't remember with Owens second seizure I ran to the fire station) I grabbed Gavin, I screamed for Clint and started to get dressed.I grabbed my phone but I was shaking so hard I had a hard time dialing. I called my neighbor and asked if I could bring the keys over and the monitor so she could listen for the boys. Thank goodness for great neighbors and a town house you can actually do that with, I felt so bad calling at that time in the morning. Well to make a long story short, the hospital did some test but they said they couldn't put him on medication because every baby gets a free seizure ( what kind of policy is that) With the family history I knew exactly what I was dealing with so I was mad and being a Saturday I couldn't get in with Dr. Davenport for the whole weekend. So Clint's parents came to save us and helped us do a 24 hour watch on him. I am terrified cause he hasn't had what I call the big one. He had like what Owen had the first time. Owens second one was much more traumatic for me he quite breathing and that is when I ran to the fire station. ( way to just throw all my CPR and first aid training out the window:) We called 911 and that was my first ride in and ambulance. So I don't think I could sleep even if I wanted to. You never realize how twitchy babies are until you watch ones every move. My heart drops every time he makes a sound or flairs an arm or even when he looks up at his mobile. We are now on what the Doctors call the seizure fast track. I guess it takes months to get into primary children's neurology center, But on the fast track we will get in this week. we don't know much now. they don't want to put him on anything till after the MRI and the EEG cause the medication can mask the seizures, so we are still doing the 24 hour watch. That could get tricky cause Clint has work and school on Wednesday so I will have to do it on my own. I don't know if they will ever put him on anything but if they don't I probably wont sleep again EVER. Anyway The good news is Gavin gained 1 whole lb in less then a week!! way to grow Gavin. We really appreciated every one's prayers and for those who fasted for us. Its been working!! we will hopefully know more by the end of the week!!!

P.S.
Thanks again Benny and Linda you saved the weekend!

Christmas Time

Well it has been so nice to have clint home more on this break from school. We have been getting a lot of snow. which is great for the boys but bad for mom. I HATE SNOW. We had a big storm the other day so we built a snow man with the boys. it was really cute how they understood what was going on and jumped right in to help.

This was Gavin's Christmas PJ's. They were so cute I just couldn't resist. What a cute boy he is.

At our family Christmas eve party Santa came and all the kids sat on his lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas.

Tyson didn't mind he will do anything for a present.

Now most kids sit on Santa's lap and either the love it or they cry the whole time. Owen wouldn't even do so much as to sit and cry on Santa's lap. But he did give him a very weak High five.
Gavin didnt mind santa at all. I think he liked his soft beard and cushy Belly.
Our Christmas eve party was a mexican fiesta so of course we had to have pinatas. This is clints dad getting ready for it. We had three one for each age group.
That poor donkey didn't even have a chance Stacey just ripped his head off in the first shot. And of course Grandpa had to wear the rest as a hat. :) Poor Donkey!!!
This was the kids gift exchange. Owen was having a bad no nap day so I had to be with him the whole time. but Tyson loved it. He was so excited when he found the star under his seat and got to choose a present.
When we got home we gave two very tired boys their christmas eve presents. AKA pjs and an ornament. Owen was so excited to have pjs.

Tyson got a trike ornament and he was so excited He loves to ride the neighbors trike. Owen got an ABC ornament because this past year he has been obsessed with letters.
They got to hang them on the tree before bed.

CHRISTMAS MORNING ~ The boys were so excited when we woke them up and told them santa came. ( I made them watch lots of christmas movies this year so they would understand.) The loved there stockings
Cute PJ huh!!! They did so good opening presents, they ripped right through them and played all day. It was cute when we laid them down for nap they wouldn't go to sleep and we had to go up there several times, and Tyson kept saying my toys my toys.
This is what Gavin did most of the morning while we were opening presents he didnt want to be disturbed.
But when he did wake up he had his own pile of presents waiting for him, And of course the boys were right there ready to help open them.
The boys got a kitchen from santa and they love it. every morning when we come down tyson makes me breakfast. It is so nice when your kids get to the age where they can cook for you:) PS. Thanks Benny and Linda for the outfits they are so cute in them.
I hope You all had a wonderful christmas and are all ready to start a fresh new year!!!!!!!!!

Outdoor Fun

The weather is cold but we have been having a lot of outdoor fun. Even though the boys are feeling good. Gavin and I are still having a tough time kicking the sickness in our house. Clint and the boys were out having fun in the snow and he got some cute shots. He also got some pictures of all the boys before the storm hit. So here are a few.

This was pretty funny the boys got snow on there mittens and they licked it then they looked at Clint to make sure it was ok. They looked so guilty doing it like they knew it was wrong. I guess it is best that we don't encourage our kids to eat anything off the ground but we will have to watch them doing this to make sure the snow isn't colored in any way :)

This was an attempted to get all three boys together we got some good ones of the boys looking but gavin was crying and my arm was in the picture so this is the best one we got.

Here are just some cute pictures of the boys clint got

I love this one of ty

The boys are so funny

Here are some scenery shots clint got, there was a beautiful sunset one night on the mountains while we were playing outside so we put that camera to good uses

Clints early Christmas

So I have been looking into getting a Digital SLR camera for quite a while. The problem is, a new camera is not a top priority. I had done some research, and knew pretty much what I wanted/what we could afford. The day after Thanksgiving we saw that Ebay had some great deals, and they had camera kits that would more than suit our needs. We decided on a Nikon D40 kit. It came with the camera, 2 lenses, 2 cases (hard and soft), 2 tripods (medium and pocket sized), a 4GB SD card, and some other accessories. It came two days ago and it has been great. I was able to get some good pictures of the boys, here is one of Tyson. Even with the food in his mouth, I think it turned out pretty well. Here is Owen. He finally let me get a decent shot of his face. its been a long time since Ive gotten a good one of his face. This is one of Gavin. He is a pretty smiley baby, and he has a cute dimple on his right cheek (left side on this picture.) I was trying out the zoom, and thought i would try getting close on the ornament. I havent used many of the setting, mostly just the automatic settings, so I've been impressed with the quality for not knowing much about it. Today we went for a walk out down by some paths near Utah lake, they go along the Provo river. It was very pretty, and i got a few nice shots. Here are some berries

Everything looked pretty dead, and it was a little cold, but it was still pretty
The trees were pretty, but everything looked so dead that I had to try and do some color correction. It looks a little too much like fall, but I do like it.

This one was just some good timing. I like to call it Synchronized Swimming.
