Outdoor Fun

The weather is cold but we have been having a lot of outdoor fun. Even though the boys are feeling good. Gavin and I are still having a tough time kicking the sickness in our house. Clint and the boys were out having fun in the snow and he got some cute shots. He also got some pictures of all the boys before the storm hit. So here are a few.

This was pretty funny the boys got snow on there mittens and they licked it then they looked at Clint to make sure it was ok. They looked so guilty doing it like they knew it was wrong. I guess it is best that we don't encourage our kids to eat anything off the ground but we will have to watch them doing this to make sure the snow isn't colored in any way :)

This was an attempted to get all three boys together we got some good ones of the boys looking but gavin was crying and my arm was in the picture so this is the best one we got.

Here are just some cute pictures of the boys clint got

I love this one of ty

The boys are so funny

Here are some scenery shots clint got, there was a beautiful sunset one night on the mountains while we were playing outside so we put that camera to good uses

Clints early Christmas

So I have been looking into getting a Digital SLR camera for quite a while. The problem is, a new camera is not a top priority. I had done some research, and knew pretty much what I wanted/what we could afford. The day after Thanksgiving we saw that Ebay had some great deals, and they had camera kits that would more than suit our needs. We decided on a Nikon D40 kit. It came with the camera, 2 lenses, 2 cases (hard and soft), 2 tripods (medium and pocket sized), a 4GB SD card, and some other accessories. It came two days ago and it has been great. I was able to get some good pictures of the boys, here is one of Tyson. Even with the food in his mouth, I think it turned out pretty well. Here is Owen. He finally let me get a decent shot of his face. its been a long time since Ive gotten a good one of his face. This is one of Gavin. He is a pretty smiley baby, and he has a cute dimple on his right cheek (left side on this picture.) I was trying out the zoom, and thought i would try getting close on the ornament. I havent used many of the setting, mostly just the automatic settings, so I've been impressed with the quality for not knowing much about it. Today we went for a walk out down by some paths near Utah lake, they go along the Provo river. It was very pretty, and i got a few nice shots. Here are some berries

Everything looked pretty dead, and it was a little cold, but it was still pretty
The trees were pretty, but everything looked so dead that I had to try and do some color correction. It looks a little too much like fall, but I do like it.

This one was just some good timing. I like to call it Synchronized Swimming.

Decorating for christmas

Well this past weekend I finally got to decorate for Christmas. I have been really excited for Christmas this year and was just waiting till after Thanksgiving to decorate. Friday I went shopping all day so We did it Saturday. The boys were able to help this year and it was a lot of fun. After we decorated we had chowder. This is a tradition from my family, Every year we went into the mountains in the freezing cold snow to get our tree and so we always came home to warm clam chowder. Even though I have a fake tree I still love having chowder and toasted cheese sandwiches, it makes me feel like the season is started. Here are some pictures of the day.

These are little cardboard hangings that we got at the dollar store. The boys are always startled by their shadows in the window in the mornings.

The boys helped me put the ornaments on the crystal tree we have

OK so the star was funny cause we knew the boys wouldn't just allow one to put the star on top so we had to do it twice, and really three times if you consider Clint putting it on there straight .

The boys put on all the ornaments by them self. (sometimes a little help from there dad) Of course after they were out of the room we had to take a bunch off the bottom and put them on the tree evenly, the bottom had almost all the ornaments.

The boys loved the humpty dumpty one which is easy to understand since it was my favorite growing up and still is.

This is the boys putting an ornament on you can see how many were on the bottom

I am sorry no pictures of Gav he was sleeping most of the time. We will have to get some of him soon. Well that is it. We are really looking forward to Christmas this year. It is fun having kids that are starting to get it and starting our own traditions with them. if any of you have fun traditions you do for Christmas let me know I am trying to think of fun things to start with my kids. Hope you all have a great Christmas season.

Random stuff

OK I had a bunch of random things I wanted to blog about so I didn't have a very clever title. Things haven't been too exciting around there, I think that is how I like it . I have to make a disclaimer first, Owen is not my least favorite child He is just anti picture right now so every time I get the camera out he bolts. I did manage to get him in one picture and hopefully more in the future.

Tyson is obsessed with gavins car seat every time I get it out he has to be in it or buckling it. This is how I found him watching dora the other day. I think he is going back to his days as an infant. This picture was bright red so clint did what he could to make it so you could see what was in the picture.

The next two pictures are of cute gavin showing off his adorable smile.

The boys love gavin and they are always playing around him. Owen would have been in the picture playing with the car but he ran off. They like to bring there toys over and just play next to gavin.

Well I got so sick of my living room being a complete mess all the time from the boys toys. I felt like every time someone surprised me at the door they were thinking I never clean since my house is a complete mess all the time. So we moved gavins crib into our room now so I converted his room into the play room. it is so nice my living room has been clean for like 6 days straight. I love it, and the boys like the Independence of going up and down the stairs by themselves (which still makes me nervous, The boys get a little hyper sometimes on our scary stairs).

Next thing is I was going to make some scrambled eggs so I cracked five eggs into a bowl and right when I was going to add the milk I saw my creation. I just started laughing right out loud to myself. What a way to cheer up the day.
Ok the last thing is a video of the boys wrestling. it was so cute they do this all the time. this particular morning they were doing it for like 45 mins. and since owen would have stopped if I got the camera out I tricked him by using my Cell phone so sorry for they poor quality.

Halloween and Fall Fun

Ok well like I said I would, I am posting more pictures after Halloween, so here it goes. Well on Thursday we got a notice on our door that we had to have the leaves raked up within 48 hours or they would do it and charge us. so even though not even half the leaves have fallen yet and we are supposed to have a storm that will knock more onto our lawn before the end of the weekend, we raked up all of our leaves which were about 8 trash bags worth but we had a fun time doing it as a family then after the boys went down and clint went to school my neighbor and I bagged them all up. Not that you can tell it is only saturday and there are more leaves on the ground then when we started. ( I better not get in trouble for not raking the leaves on monday.) but we got a few cute pictures of owen and ty in the leaves having fun.

Owen jumping in the leaves

Tyson posing in the leaves
This was just a cute shot I got of ty holding gavin. he was so tired and ready for bed but he wanted to hold gavin so he is about to fall asleep but he was happy to hold his little brother.
Ok for Halloween we went out to my sisters and clints brothers house to go trick or treating with them in a safer area. The boys had such a good time, it was a fight to get them into there costumes but we did a practice run on jay and staceys door and when they saw all they had to do to get candy was knock on a door they were off. Ty was the monster owen was the monkey and Gavin was a chili pepper.

(kade was a bumble bee)
It was so funny they would run to the next door so excited and if there were a lot of trick or treaters so they couldn't get back down the stairs to us owen would just stand there with his bag open and get a few extra pieces ( little sneak) Also we went to one house and the didnt answer the door. Owen was not happy about that, he wouldnt come down the stairs and when he finally did he just walked down the side walk with his bag dragging behind him, his head down and a pout face on. Then when we got to the next house I said go knock and get some candy and he took off again with a great big smile. They are getting so big, and so much fun.

Well that was our halloween fun. I hope you all had fun too!!!
