Sickness, computer problems, and outside fun

So we haven't posted anything in a very long time. Its been a pretty chaotic couple of weeks. First, our PC crashed on us. Tiffany was using it, and it started to act weird. Tiffany turned it off, then turned it back on, and windows simply wouldn't load up. We fought with it for a while, but nothing seemed to help. Nervous that we couldn't save our data, we thought we would try calling the Geek Squad to try and salvage our computer. When we asked what it would cost to save our information and reinstall windows, they said it would cost about 400 dollars (arrrg!). I tried to do it myself, but I couldn't figure out how to reinstall vista, let alone save all of our information. Thoroughly frustrated, we came to the realization that we have a brother in law, Dat, who does programming. He was able to save all of our information using Linux (way too advanced for me) as well as reinstall windows. He is amazing.
Although we have had the Mac to keep us connected, its just frustrating to have a computer crash and worry about losing stuff. I hope to not sound too pro Mac, but I have become less and less of a fan of Microsoft. Vista is just a weird operating system, and even though it has gotten much better in the past year, its still got some odd bugs and quirks to it that make it very annoying. It is much better looking than XP, and it has some useful features, but if our computer had XP preinstalled instead of Vista, I would definitely not upgrade. Just my little rant for the day.
So during this time, the boys have gotten sick. The wednesday after fathers day, the boys started to throw up. They did this for about 3 days, then the diarrhea started. That lasted about 3 or 4 days, but although Tyson was eating better, he was still very grumpy, and woke up screaming in the night and nothing would comfort him. We took him to the doctor, and we found out that his 2 year molars are starting to come in. They look puffy and sore, and i feel bad for him. We have give him Tylenol and teething tablets, which have been a huge help. hopefully these come in and he can be happier. I hate to see him so upset and grumpy. These are the pictures of basically what they did all day

Since the boys have felt better, and the temperature has been in the 90's this past week, we have taken the boys outside to swim in our little inflatable pool. They dont really get in and stay in, its more like they step in, splash a bit, get out, run around, step in, step out, etc... They have had a lot of fun though, and its fun to watch. Here are some pictures of their activities.
I love this action shot of owen it is great. They loved the water slide.
Here is so cute pictures of them eating Ice cream by the pool.

Ok this is a weird bug we found last year that shows up every spring, this is the best picture we could get, It is a type of wasp and they lay eggs inside bugs in the tree then the following spring the babys come out eat the bug alive and eat there way out of the tree, where the male bug is waiting to mate with them. the females which is shown in the picture are about 2 inches long and have up to a 4 inch stinger looking thing. They say they dont sting thank goodness. We have also been getting things out and ready for the baby to come. The boys loved to play under the play gym. Here is a picture of them playing and what they looked like playing under it when they were only a month old, wow how they have changed.
Also Tiffany made her first diaper cake for her friend falawn who is having a baby in july. This is a picture of the finished product.

A look at the past...

Since I got the Mac, I've been wanting to put together a DVD of all the footage of the boys that I have and put them onto a DVD or two (It didn't really work out so well on the PC). Since Ive had a lot more down time over the summer, its been my hobby lately. As I've gone through it, I thought it would fun to post some clips of the boys that some people haven't seen. The boys are so cute, I should videotape them more often.

This video is Owen fighting Tyson for the phone which is ringing. I love it.

This is Tyson telling me that he's not sure what he's got. So cute.

A Summer Day of Fun

Well we have been really enjoying having clint home more this summer. We have been playing outside, and enjoying walks everyday that its not raining or when we are not sick. We have also BBQ about 4 times since he got out of school. We are starting to get the hang of it. We have some pictures of clint manning the BBQ and the boys watching, Most of them are a little dark but they turned out pretty cute. The flash wouldn't go off with the door open.

After all this excitement the boys really enjoy just laying back together and watching a movie. Here is a cute picture of them sitting in the love sac watching a movie

Now our fun for memorial day weekend. We had a rainy memorial day so I decided that maybe we should make cookies. Clint worked in the morning so after the boys nap we rolled out the dough and the boys helped us cut them out , it was so fun they loved the cookie cutters it was like they were playing with play dough. Then after I had them all baked and cooled we frosted them and decorated them with candy. The boys were pretty good about not eating them, after we told them like 6 times not to eat it. Sometimes they would sneak a piece though. Then when we finally did let them eat a cookie they looked confused since we told them so many times not to eat them. It was a VERY messy activity but we had a lot of fun and they were on a sugar high all afternoon.

This is a picture of the boys picking out what cookie cutters they wanted to use

Ok here they are cutting out the cookies it only took a couple times to explain you dont want the cuts to touch and one time of rolling them out again.

Here are the cookies the boys cut, they did a pretty good job for their first time!We are getting ready to frost them here.

Tyson frosting his first cookie
Owens first time frosting. I am sure you see the frosting all over his lips, He took the first scoop of frosting and just went straight to the mouth with it.Here they are decorating there frosted cookies. it was really cute, it was one m&m for the cookie, One m&m for me!

Here are some of our final project cookies!
Here is our family cookies. We all decorated our own cookie Clint's is the big blue one, mine is the only girl of course, Tyson's is the small yellow one and Owen's is the green one. Here they are enjoying the cookies after we finally let them eat one. They enjoyed eating them after all that hard work!!!

Outdoor Fun Time

So yesterday we took the boys outside to play a little bit. They love being outside, and its just gotten to the point where its pretty consitently warm oustide in the afternoon. We thought we would take out their little tricycles and sidewalk chalk for some fun. While we were outside, Tiffany wanted to get some of the gardening done while they played. Although the boys did enjoy running around and playing, when they saw she was playing around in the garden, they wanted to help. They raked and pulled weeds, threw some rocks around, and just got in the middle of everything. It was very cute. They really love being outside, and its even better now that they have a fear of loud and fast cars (a motorcycle drove by the stoplight near the house and they both ran to Tiffany and I for consolation.) Here are some pictures of our playtime/work:

While Tiffany was weeding, Owen and Tyson thought she needed help.
Here is Owen, hard at work.

Tyson is such a good helper.

Owen picked up the sidewalk chalk and would yell into it like it was a microphone. Tyson would cheer after each "song". It was very cute.

This is the final product of our work. It turned out pretty well.
Here is Tiffanys lilac bush, she planted it last year when it was just a one leaf twig. We are hoping we can keep it alive so we can transplant it when we get our own house.

Our Anniversary

Its hard to believe its been three years since Tiffany and I got married. Last weekend we were able to celebrate this event, and we had a pretty good time considering all that happened. My parents watched Tyson and Owen from Saturday till Monday. Since we had all that time away we planned on going to Salt Lake on Saturday - hitting the Red Butte Garden and going to The Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, then going to Logan on Sunday night and staying at the Anniversary Inn. Our van had been acting kind of strange the week previous, it seemed to be shifting kind of hard. We got the transmission flushed, and it seemed like that had done the trick since we had driven on it for a little while. On our drive to Salt Lake the van began to shift harder and harder as we drove. By the time we got to the Red Butte Garden, it was shaking, the check engine light was on, and we were both sweating and praying that we would make it there. We had to have the van towed home, and my dad and Jay had to bring me a vehicle to get home in. It didn't interfere with the rest of the weekend, but it was in the back of our minds the whole time. We did manage to have some fun times though. here are some pictures of some of the things we did and where we stayed on Sunday night.

Here we are in front of a little waterfall at the garden. It was a little dead there, but still very pretty.
We then went to the Roof at temple square. We got a great seat. This was our view.
On Sunday we went to Logan to stay at the Anniversary Inn. We stayed in a room called the players club house. It was a pretty amazing room. Here are some pictures.
This is the tub, foosball table, and little putting green. It was a fun room
Here was our lounge area and bed. It was very pretty, and the 50 inch television was a nice addition.
Here are the boys. They have been very busy lately. They have been learning their alphabet, drawing, and just keeping busy. It keeps us busy too, but its great fun.
Here they are doing dress up with mommy and daddies clothes. They are kind of nerds
Here they are trying to be innocent. Yeah, right!

It's a.......

Well we have always joked that we have had our own little ping pong team. Well today we had our ultrasound and found out we are adding a new addition to that team so I guess it cant be a ping pong team anymore , it is the new start of our own foot ball team. Thats right its a boy!!! We are really excited. I think some people thought we would be disappointed with it, but we really didn't care either way, and we know boys. Now we don't have to buy anything really cause we have an abundance of boy cloths, and now I get to pull them all out and remember the boys when they were small enough to fit into them. We are so glad that he is healthy and very active, he just kept moving the whole time, it was a lot of fun to see his little personality. The hard part is going to be naming him we are not very good with boy names. It took us forever to come up with two the first time, so any suggestions are welcome. I will post some pictures of our ultrasound below.

So we didn't need the technician to tell us it was a boy, we saw it right away. Looks like he's kind of a showoff.

Here is the profile shot. We still wonder if he will look more like Tyson or Owen.

Here is his foot. Its crazy that you can see it so well, with all the details.

The Final Produt

So here is the final video. Thank you so much for all your input, it was much appreciated. I think it turned out pretty well. I put this on a DVD (I had to to turn in into my teacher) and it seemed to look and sound pretty good on the TV with the surround sound. Im so excited that finals are almost over, I cant wait for summer. Only 3 more tests to take, and this project to turn in and i can have a life again, for about 3 months. Anyhow, thanks to all of you for all the help and support.
